The GAPS Diet and Protocol

If we could give every individual the right amount of nourishment and exercise, not too little and not too much, we would have found the safest way to health.

Who is Dr. Natasha?
Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride graduated as a medical doctor with honors in Russia in 1984.
After receiving her son’s autism diagnosis, Dr. Natasha realized that her own medical profession had very little to offer to help her son. She then decided to study Neurology and Human Nutrition in her best attempt at helping him. Not only did her son fully emerged from autism, but Dr. Natasha went on to teach the GAPS Protocol to hundreds of thousands of people, first at the Cambridge Nutritional Clinic, and later all over the world.
Dr. Natasha realized that nutrition played a critical role in helping children and adults to overcome their disabilities, and she has pioneered the use of probiotics in this field.
Her willingness to share her knowledge has resulted in her contribution to many publications, as well as presenting at numerous international conferences on the subject of learning disabilities and digestive disorders.
Since the publication of her first book in 2004, the GAPS concept has become a global phenomenon. People from all over the world have been using the GAPS Nutritional Protocol not only for healing from autism, but from many other chronic physical and mental conditions. The GAPS Diet focuses on healing the digestive system in three main areas. It seals leaky gut, restores the balance of friendly bacteria in the digestive tract, and gently cleanses the body of toxins.
Is it easy to implement the GAPS diet?
When parents, who are already tired and overwhelmed, hear about the idea of changing the diet of their children who are fussy eaters, they might not be very excited (to say the least). Many have already heard about the GAPS diet and believe that they could never be able to really implement it. But once they do it, the results are incredible, and they wish they had done it much sooner!
