Hi, there - I am Camila.

I can't wait to

I can't wait to

meet you!

meet you!

For over twenty years, I’ve worked daily with families of Sensitive Kids who struggle with anxiety, autism, developmental delays, ADHD, and fussy eating habits. I’ve been in the trenches with them, supporting every step of their journey. Now, I would love to support YOU on your journey. But until then, here’s a little bit about me:

I was born and raised in Brazil and moved to the United States in 1999 soon after meeting my husband on a diving trip in Cairns, Australia. I have two awesome daughters, Gabi and Sofia, who are very physically active and love sports such as running, skiing, soccer, and gymnastics.

As a family, we love to cook (GAPS food mostly), swim in the ocean and spring water lakes, hike, and be in nature. We grow a lot of our vegetables and herbs in our gardens and greenhouse.

I spent 20 years of my life working with the Autism Treatment Center of America and The Son-Rise Program as a Child Facilitator, Senior Teacher, and later as The Son-Rise Program Manager. I have spent thousands of hours working one on one with more than 900 children and adults on the autism spectrum – ages 2 to 32 – from every inhabited continent. I have taught parents, caregivers, and professionals in individual and large group settings. I have addressed audiences in person and online from all over the globe.

Since my early years working with children on the autism spectrum, I noticed firsthand the profound, positive effects that the GAPS (Gut and Psychology Syndrome) Diet had on those children. It was like night and day – the ones who followed the GAPS Nutritional Protocol became calmer and had increased focus and attention. Their social skills and ability to learn also improved. These children were happier and healthier! That sparked my interest in nutrition.

After the birth of my second daughter, I discovered I had chronic Lyme disease with some debilitating neurological symptoms. I was told by many doctors that I would have to live with those symptoms for the rest of my life and there was nothing I could do about them. At that point, I turned to the GAPS Nutrition Protocol for help. And today, the debilitating symptoms I once had are now gone.

In my years working with autism families, I always suggested the GAPS diet to them. But in 2023, I decided to go a step further and train directly with Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride and her team to become a Certified GAPS Coach. Now I am qualified to officially teach all aspects of the GAPS Nutritional Protocol. Diving deeper into the GAPS world has been an incredible, rewarding journey. I believe that Dr. Natasha is one of the most humble and, at the same time, wisest medical professionals that I have ever met in my life. It’s been a true honor!!
